Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to quotes, bookings and work carried out by KJ Roofing & Building.

Last updated: September 2026

1. About Us

These terms apply to any quote, booking or work carried out by KJ Roofing & Building (“we”, “us”, “our”), based at 30 Park Street, Rhosddu, Wrexham, LL11 2NN. By asking us for a quote or accepting our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Our Services

We provide roofing and building services including roof repairs, new roofs and re-roofing, flat roofing, building maintenance and repairs, and damp proofing, across Wrexham and the surrounding areas of North Wales, Chester and Flintshire.

3. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general information about our services and does not constitute professional advice. While we try to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no guarantee that every detail (such as pricing indications, guarantee terms or coverage areas) is complete or current at all times – always confirm specific details with us directly before relying on them.

All content on this website (text, images, logos) belongs to KJ Roofing & Building unless otherwise stated, and shouldn’t be copied or reused without our permission.

4. Quotes & Estimates

Quotes are provided free of charge and without obligation. A quote is based on the information available to us at the time (including any site visit carried out) and may change if the scope of work changes once we start, or if we discover an issue that wasn’t visible beforehand (for example, hidden timber damage under existing roofing). We’ll always discuss this with you before carrying out any extra work beyond the original quote.

Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days from the date given.

5. Booking & Carrying Out Work

Work is scheduled by agreement between us, and dates may need to change due to factors outside our control – particularly weather conditions, which can affect roofing work. We’ll keep you informed of any changes to agreed dates as early as we can.

6. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the work. We accept payment by the methods we confirm with you when arranging the work. If you have any concerns about the completed work, please raise them with us before making payment so we can address them.

7. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or postpone booked work, please give us as much notice as possible. Cancellations made with very little notice, after materials have already been ordered or work has been scheduled, may incur a reasonable charge to cover costs already incurred – we’ll always discuss this with you rather than surprise you with a charge.

8. Guarantees & Workmanship

We stand behind our work:

  • New roof installations and full re-roofs are covered by a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
  • Roof repairs are covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
  • Very minor patch repairs may not carry a formal guarantee where the underlying roof structure is already compromised – we’ll always be upfront about this before starting work.

These guarantees cover our workmanship. Materials we supply may carry their own separate manufacturer’s warranty, which we’ll pass on the details of where applicable.

9. Liability

We carry full public liability insurance and take care to protect your property while working on it. We’re not responsible for pre-existing issues with your property that aren’t related to the work we’ve carried out, or for problems caused by works or repairs carried out by someone else, before or after our involvement.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that can’t legally be limited or excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

10. Complaints

If you’re not happy with any aspect of our work, please contact us as soon as possible using the details below so we can look into it and put things right.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. The terms that applied at the time you accepted a quote will continue to apply to that piece of work.
